I love everything about winter time (especially when I was in Waco and not at home in 80 degree weather!) as I feel the most cozy, excited for the many different holiday events, and thrilled to spend time with my beloved family and friends (only missing Lo and Yonny)! There’s nothing more exhilarating—besides a football or basketball game of course—than thoughtfully purchasing and wrapping gifts for the people I love most and waiting to exchange them when the weather is chilly, holiday music and decorations are everywhere, and I’ve had a Christmas tree up and decorated since the first week in November. Aren’t we all like this? But as much as I truly adore winter and December/early January, I come alive when I’m allowed to dress in full, bright colors once again. I obviously didn’t put away all of my bold pastels over the past couple of months (you can check my Instagram to see it’s true), but it’s always easier to sport those shades when green, red, and gold aren’t the primary colors of the season. Now that we’re nearing February, I’ve whipped all of my pastels and brights back out and I’m ready for the punchiest color blocking looks that I wore last in October. For this outfit, I wore my now all-time favorite gold tennis skort I somehow haven’t blogged about yet with an equally fun cornflower blue tee. I’ve wanted to incorporate more athleisure pieces into my wardrobe so I have contrast with my “sweeter” outfits, and this skort has more than surpassed its cost per wear at $24! I wrapped my silk Echo scarf my sister and her partner bought for my birthday, tied ribbons in my hair (a must for every braided day), put on all of my every day jewelry, and finished with an adorned bag and my poppy pink kitten heels! Have you seen a more “me” outfit recently?
