April Favorites

Throughout April I’ve embraced new products and additions to my beauty routine that I never would have thought to add before! The month was about trying out new products to add to my expanding makeup collection as well as reaching for old favorites. Let’s dive in!

I of course had to include my holy grail NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard in the mix just to reinforce my sincere love for the product. The concealer isn’t radiant or glowy at all, instead it’s very skin-like and gorgeously covers any blemishes on the face. My skin has been amazing this month, so sometimes I would just reach for this concealer instead of applying a full face of foundation. It’s a total winner in my book! To set my face makeup, I’ve been applying the Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray, which is not a product that I thought was necessary in my daily beauty regime. Against my best thoughts, I purchased this on a spur of the moment Sephora trip and I’m so happy I did! This product completely changed my whole makeup routine for the better. Even though it doesn’t really control the oils on my face, it does make my makeup last around 16 hours with a few top ups of concealer and powder here and there. It’s a godsend for days when I need my makeup to last no matter what the occasion! A product I’ve never really used is eyeliner. I like the look of a dark brown liner smudged into the lashline but that’s about as courageous as I’ve gotten with the product. This past month though, I’ve been applying the Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Kajal in Black (Yes, you heard me. Black.) along my upper lashline for a bit of extra definition around the lashes. I’m liking the look of the liner and I know I’ll be getting great use out of the Urban Decay dupe! On my first trip to The Body Shop, I picked their Colour Crush Eyeshadow in Melt My Heart. Guys, this is seriously the best eyeshadow formula I’ve ever used. The shadow is like a powder/cream hybrid, which applies so smoothly and lasts all day long without creasing. The brand has multiple matte and shimmer shades in the line, which is great variety! I will absolutely be writing a full review of this new shadow favorite and I’ll be picking up more shades very soon! Another new discovery is in the form of MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Modesty. Modesty is a neutral peachy-pink that I wrote a review on here. It truly is the perfect formula and color for my lips and I’ll be wearing it everyday for spring and summer! Last but not least is my holy grail fragrance: ChloĆ© Eau de Parfum. I bought the rollerball recently as my full size of the perfume recently ran out. This fragrance brings so many memories to my mind and I’m so happy to have it in my life (and on my wrists) again!
