An Autumnal Madewell Wishlist

I’m a huge Madewell fan. I love how the brand is like J.Crew’s younger, cooler sister, while maintaining the same level of chicness and style to its predecessor. Every time my family travels to San Francisco, we go to Westfield mall and head straight for Madewell. Unfortunately, I always leave empty handed due to the brand’s expensive prices and my often cheap financial values. Despite my urge to purchase everything in the store, I hold myself back and say I’ll buy something next time. Well, today is next time because dammit I want to spend all of my moneys on pretty things! I want fresh fall additions for my wardrobe in every style of velvet, glitter and denim that exists. The velvet Beatriz Mule is my shoe pick of the season as the mule style and heel height is perfect for every occasion. I’m excited about all things velvet for the fall and these heels are a beautiful selection. I haven’t worn much black since my emo days, but lace pieces and eyelet details make midnight-colored tops girly and wearable. I love the Eyelet Mockneck Ruffle Top because it’s classic and feminine. I would pair it with maroon pants and black sneakers for a night out. Sweaters, especially chunky oversized ones, are a staple for all fall weather and the Wafflestitch Sweater-Coat is a cozy layering essential. I would wear it over all of my favorite outfits, but the comfiest combination would be over black leggings and a long sleeve blouse. My denim collection is seriously lacking in the classic blue department, so I would purchase the 9” High-Rise Skinny Jeans to fill that gap. The jeans are so classic that they can be paired with any blouse or tank top and I would tuck the gray and white striped Flannel Westward Shirt into it and toss over a leather jacket. I’ve always hated the color brown, but I’ve been interested in the saddle-colored Transport Tote for an everyday bag. Sometimes I fill my purses up to the point of no return and it would be nice to have a big ass bag in which I can toss all of my belongings. In my quest for the perfect skirt, I discovered the Velveteen Uptown Zip Skirt and my life is changed. It’s another beautiful velvet piece and the blush shade is perfect for my existing closet. I love how Madewell paired it with a chunky sweater because I would do the same! I love a good cami for all year round and black ones are essential. The Velvet Ruffle Cami is a fresh update on the classic tank and I would pair it with black denim jeans and heels for a fancier occasion. I’ve been wanting denim overalls for four years but haven’t found the perfect pair. Overalls are tricky because the wrong style can make you look like either a farmer or a small child. Obviously I want to look like a grown ass young woman, so I would aim for a pair that’s skinny at the leg and cups my butt and the Skinny Overalls checks every box! I would wear a loose floral blouse underneath and pair it with my favorite yellow sneakers.
