A Rematch in the 2017 NBA Finals

For the third consecutive year, the NBA Finals will feature a competition between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers. The Warriors won the 2015 title following an explosive season with guards Steph Curry and Klay Thompson at the helm. In 2016, the Cavs avenged their previous loss as F LeBron James in seven games. Although they didn’t match their record-breaking 73 win season from last year, the Warriors dominated the playoffs, sweeping the Portland Trail Blazers, Utah Jazz, and the difficult San Antonio Spurs to secure a spot in the finals. The Cavs took care of business as well, losing only one game in their postseason rounds and notching victories over the Indiana Pacers, Toronto Raptors, and Boston Celtics. With James riding the high of surpassing Michael Jordan as all-time NBA playoffs scorer, the Cavs are a monster opponent. On the other side of the ball however, the trio of Curry, Thompson, and F Kevin Durant are unstoppable and will look to drain every basket they can. Game 1 of the finals begins on June 1 at 8 p.m. (CT) on ABC.
