A Most Festive Green and White Outfit

My festive green and white outfit

Zara sweater, Free People skirt, Madewell bag, Frasier Sterling necklace, Baublebar earrings, J.Crew shoes (old)

I’ve been shopping a hell of a lot more recently—for others and…for myself—with most of my new purchases being cute ass clothes and shoes to fit my new wardrobe! For a while after I lost my initial weight, I primarily wore a couple pairs of jeans and any and every t-shirt from Brandy Melville (like here and here). Brandy Melville tops felt comfy and easy to wear in every setting and while I still wear them on the weekends and to get groceries (or in basically every watch the Baylor game with me and my dad video!), I’m trying to reinvent my closet and add as many pieces as possible like this green sweater and white skirt. I’ve been so inspired by the fashion TikToks I’ve recently seen with creators styling outfits out of multiple pieces and layering with lots of colors. Two of my favorite fashion creators and style inspirations are Lizzi and Carla Rockmore, both of whom constantly experiment with trends, patterns, and shapes in ways I never would’ve thought of before. My green and white outfit above isn’t unique or exploratory by any means, but it’s one of my favorites I’ve put together recently thanks to the styling videos I repeatedly watch. Some of my coworkers wanted to wear holiday-inspired sweaters last week before Christmas and I chose this kelly green turtleneck from Zara instead of the familiar ugly Christmas sweater. I’d usually style the sweater with regular blue jeans, but I thought this white faux leather skirt from Free People dressed up the knit a little more. I wore my green J.Crew flats in this photo, but changed into my leopard Cole Haan flats for my TikTok and brought my Madewell bag as well. Besides the green sweater, the most important part of this look is my layered jewelry using all of my old and new jewels. I started with my Texas necklace, four rings, and Hawaiian bracelet I wear every day and added my new pearl name necklace from Frasier Sterling on top with an initial bracelet my sister got for me. After putting on my gold bow Baublebar earrings, my festive look was complete!
