Although I love my drugstore makeup, I definitely have a soft spot for a good luxury beauty product. Over the past couple of weeks I’ve spent a good chunk of change in exchange for these gorgeous goodies. I haven’t been using the products for that long, so I’m ineligible to give a proper review on the products just yet. Reviews of all the makeup will be coming soon!
NARSissist Eye Palette ($80)- NARS fans delight themselves in the launch of a palette created especially for NARS addicts. The eye palette houses 15 shimmer and matte shades in the brand’s signature matte black packaging. The extra large mirror and lack of a gimmicky brush makes the palette that much more amazing. Although it left a huge dent in my wallet, I’m really happy with my purchase so far.
Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage Concealer in SC3 ($32)- While I was searching for a new concealer I had many options in mind including NARS Creamy Concealer and Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer. Despite the vast array of concealer options in the beauty market, I was stuck on the LM Secret Camouflage because of one reason: It’s Lisa Eldridge’s favorite concealer (she’s been using it for 15+ years!) and if it’s good enough for Lisa, it’s good enough for me. The hard texture makes the concealer last extremely long and perfects the skin by covering any blemishes or redness.
Alpha H Liquid Gold ($63)- My skin has been looking pretty bad lately, so I purchased Liquid Gold by recommendation of my favorite Lisa Eldridge and skincare genius Caroline Hirons. They both agreed that Liquid Gold helps to soothe and calm any irritation or blemishes as time progresses. So far I haven’t really noticed a difference in my skin, but a month of use usually doesn’t bring immediate change. I’m crossing my fingers and toes that this product will be a miracle worker on my problematic skin!
Anastasia Brow Wiz in Granite ($22)- My brows are quite thick, but the sparse areas have been driving me mad! I’ve been looking into the best of the best brow products and after testing this one in Sephora, I had to have it in my collection. The super fine tip allows the user to create a soft, natural brow in seconds. The color Granite looks perfect in my dark brown-black brows.
Fresh Life Eau de Parfum ($24)- I mentioned this rollerball perfume in a post before but I can’t stress how much I love this scent enough. With spring slowly rolling around, it’s great to have a fresh, citrusy scent to apply on the pulse points. The packaging is beautiful and the rollerball size makes it perfect for the handbag or backpack!
Nails Inc. Polish in Porchester Square ($10)- Anna dubbed this her favorite lacquer of all time- and for good reason! The color is a beautiful lilac-taupe and it applies so easily. The lasting power is great and the whole formulation gets a thumbs up in my book. I’ll definitely be picking up some more colors soon!
