I’ll let you in on a secret: Brunch is one of my favorite things ever. Last weekend I was lucky enough to go to my favorite brunch location so far, which is the Orchids Restaurant at Halekulani Hotel in Waikiki. A couple of family friends were visiting from the mainland and a tradition of ours is to eat at the hotel together whenever they’re here (Hi Uncle John and Aunty Donna!). Orchids has the most amazing brunch buffet that I’ve ever experienced! There is a wide selection of pastries, fresh fruits, salads, breakfast foods, desserts, and more. I like to hit the pastries and fruits first and I usually pick the chocolate croissant, blueberry muffin, papaya, and pineapple. The breakfast lineup has ready made meats and benedicts with an omelet bar on the side. There’s also a large carving station with pork and beef hot and ready for dipping in the abundance of sauces. My favorite part of the brunch is arguably the dessert selection. There are amazing cakes, tarts, ice cream, and even a chocolate dipping station! Orchids has a really great set breakfast menu, but I highly recommend their Sunday brunch. It’s quite pricey, but the experience is worth it!
