2020 in Photos

Every January, I compile dozens of my favorite photos that encapsulate the past year and refer to the post as “*insert year here* in Photos” (here’s last year’s one!). I love the beginning of the year because I usually share my 2020 in photos and words so I remember all of my most memorable moments from the past 12 months. It’s easy to forget the best parts of the year when every month seems to blend together and these compilations are like an online photo album for me to sort through and share with ease. This 2020 in photos is slightly different than previous years because of COVID obviously, but I’m extremely lucky that I was still able to spend a lot of time outside with my friends and family and capture those moments. Most of my 2020 in photos were taken on hikes, picnics, and outdoor dinners so as not to risk getting sick or infecting others, but my favorites are from my trip to Waco at the end of January for Jonathan and Urn’s wedding! Those expert planners really locked in the perfect date for the wedding as COVID wasn’t rapidly spreading in the US at that time. I feel so lucky that my family and best friends here have stayed healthy and safe and I’m able to see them whenever I want, but I also miss my Texas best friends (and Texas food, specifically Taqueria El Crucero) and I can’t wait till I can go back to visit. Because I’ve mostly just been working and seeing my friends when I can, I initially thought I didn’t have a lot of pictures to include in this post, but holy shit was I wrong. If 2020 has taught me anything, it’s that the most important part of my life is my loved ones and I need to treasure every moment we spend together. I hope you’re all looking forward to an unnecessary number of friendship selfies and mountain/ocean views from all of the hikes I went on last year!
