Over summer break, my family and I were lucky enough to take professional pictures as we hadn’t taken any group photos together in six years. I love the process of taking fancy pictures and doing it as a family made it all the more special. I was in charge of choosing the location and outfit colors (obviously), so my original idea was an all blue theme at Hoʻomaluhia Botanical Gardens. The Koʻolau mountain range has been my favorite view in Hawaiʻi as I spent most weekends at my grandparents’ house on my mom’s side in Waikāne. On this day however, the garden was closed, so we stopped at Kualoa Beach Park instead. Although it was supposed to rain all day in Kāneʻohe, the sun peeked through the clouds for the one hour we took our pictures, setting the perfect amount of light. Blue looked beautiful against the lush green mauna and blended perfectly with the ocean in front of us. I love capturing moments that I want to remember forever (hence this blog), so I know I’ll treasure these pictures for years to come. I hope you love them as much as I do!
